Summer Lockers Moving to Expansion Building
All Minneapolis Summer Locker Memberships Are Free
In addition to expanding the University Recreation and Wellness Center, there will also be various upgrades made to the current building. Beginning Monday, May 20, Rec Sports will be making improvements to the existing Men's and Women's locker rooms. For this reason, members will have free Minneapolis daily locker use for the entire Summer while construction is taking place. Please read below for some important information about how the Men's and Women's locker rooms will be affected.
Summer Intramural Registration Opens May 1
Leagues Begin Week of June 9
Summer Intramural Sports registration will open on May 1. Registration is now managed completely online. Summer sports available are listed below:
- Soccer
- Softball
Center for Outdoor Adventure Summer Relocation
The Center for Outdoor Adventure (COA) has relocated for the summer due to construction on the University Recreation and Wellness Center. Outdoor rentals will still be available for the entire summer in their new, temporary location at the southwest end of the University Fieldhouse Event Entrance (view map here). Please contact COA with questions at outdoor@umn.edu.

Homecoming Volleyball Tourneys
Pre-Registration Now Open
The 2013 Homecoming Volleyball Tournament is now open for pre-registration. Tournament fees are $25 per team, and all games will take place on Sunday, September 22 at the University Recreation and Wellness Center. To register, follow the steps below:
- Click here to sign in
- Select the University of Minnesota (in the center of the tool bar)
- Scroll down to Volleyball Tournament (bottom of the screen)
- Select your division and pay the team fee
- Click "Register/Sign Up."
